11:11 Health Equation

Have you ever wondered why—even when you embody habits that you feel are healthy —you don’t feel as great as you’d like? Maybe you’re eating healthy, drinking more water, moving your body, maybe even meditating… but something still feels off.
Here’s why: maintaining health is a balance - an equation of sorts. It’s not just about what you need to add in—but also about what you need to subtract.
Some people are “adders” and others are “subtractors”, but the biggest transformations happen when we do both.
Health = + Nourishment – Toxins
Think of your health like a bank account. Every nourishing habit is a health deposit. Every toxin or stressor is a withdrawal.
If you keep making deposits and but also withdrawals, your health stays the same.
Nourishing Deposits (mind, emotion, heart and soul)
1. Deep Breaths: calm your the nervous system so your body can get into healing mode.
2. Hydration: proper hydration is simple, but profoundly impactful
3. Sleep - reset your circadian rhythms
4. Whole Foods – nature-made, not factory-made vitamins, minerals
5. Balanced Meals – protein, fat, carbs, optimized for your unique needs
6. Good Digestion – you aren’t what you eat, you’re what you absorb
7. Connection – meaningful relationships
8. Fulfilling Work – purpose feeds health
9. Creativity – expressing yourself is unleashing your energy
10. Fun & Adventure – joy, wonder and awe is nutritious
11. Movement – circulation, strength, flexibility & lymphatic flow
But here’s the catch—even perfect habits can’t reach their full healing potential if you are making toxic withdrawals all day.
Toxic Withdrawals (mind, emotion, heart and soul)
1. Home environment – clutter, mold etc.
2. Work Stress – chronic pressure drains energy
3. Relationship Conflict – emotional protection
4. Processed Food – toxic additives
5. Cleaning Products – hidden chemicals
6. Makeup – hormone disrupting
7. Hair Care – shampoos & dyes contain carcinogens
8. Skincare – your skin is eating all these chemicals
9. Candles – indoor air pollution
10. Air Fresheners – fake “freshness.”
11. Fragrance oils – perfumes and synthetic fragrances are reproductive toxins
If those drains are constantly pulling from your account, your health balance will stay low.
In fact, toxins don’t just subtract—they also dilute the benefits of nourishment. You can be doing everything else right, but a toxic environment can still sabotage the best efforts.
Health isn’t about perfection—it’s about balance. The more you build up your nourishment and reduce the drains, the more resilient and energized you feel.
And here’s the thing: you don’t have to fix everything at once. Start where you can. Add a little more nourishment. Remove just one toxin. Your health “savings” will begin to grow.
