How to Have Faith that You Can Heal & Trust the Process

Faith and trust are not the same, but both are necessary in health and healing.
Faith is your belief in the idea that you can heal.
Some helpful beliefs are:
-Everything is always working out for me.
-The universe is a friendly place.
-The creator has my back.
-My body can heal itself.
-My vital healing capacities are unlimited.
-Every day I am getting healthier in every way.
The trouble is that sometimes our subconscious mind is not in alignment with what we think is true. We may actively “think” we can heal, but we don’t really “believe” it. We say affirmations, but inside we don’t believe them and the heart calls the mind a “liar”!
So despite our affirmations, we hold fear, doubt and mistrust, which creates a downward spiral of negative thoughts. Those thoughts create negative feelings and around and around we go.
So when we cannot hold the highest beliefs, we can always reach for beliefs of persuasion.
We can gently persuade our subconscious mind to make a lateral shift, to embrace new beliefs without triggering resistance and disbelief.
Here are some lateral thoughts that are examples of beliefs that can shift your thoughts (degree by degree) until you shift into a paradigm where you simply believe without a doubt that your body can and will heal:
-I am overcoming my health obstacles and growing from them.
-There are synchronicities everywhere that are telling me that I am on the right path to heal.
-As long as things aren’t getting worse, I will take that as a good sign.
-Even one degree of improvement is a sign I am more healed today than yesterday.
-I am moving forward on the spectrum of my health and healing capacity.
-I will do what I can, wherever I see an opportunity to assume my power to heal.
-This too soon shall pass.
-My health challenge is a gift in disguise, even if I don’t know what the gift is yet.
-My symptoms teach me about myself metaphysically.
-When I overcome this, I pledge my learning in service to helping others, so they don’t have to suffer the way I did.
-I will turn this experience into something good and use it to give back.
-As I heal, I heal my family lineage and I am willing to do this healing for my children and my children’s children.
-I am overcoming this to the benefit of my family and community so that I can live to my fullest capacity and give back.
Your lateral thoughts might be very different from mine, depending on the particular way that your mind is currently wired.
Write down your lateral thoughts and state them with the full force of empowered feeling (your words are your wand…..give yourself word medicine!).
Faith is the melding of thought and feeling.
Now let’s talk about trust.
Now that your thoughts are up-levelled to the next degree, it’s time to trust and be patient.
Trust is demonstrated by action and then patience.
Embody action as though you believed in your capacity to heal and keep doing so until you are healed.
If you believed in your body’s inherent capacity to heal, you would start by providing your body with what it needs (action demonstrates trust):
1. Eat the food that the creator provides you in its natural form.
2. Eat balanced meals that meet your nutritional needs.
3. Fill in your nutrition deficiencies by eating foods that are high in those nutrients, take supplements and superfoods to fill in the gaps until your cells and tissues are all “stocked back up”.
4. Stop abusing your body with toxins taken in by poor quality foods full of synthetic additives and stop using personal care products, make-up and cleaning supplies that are full of harmful chemicals.
5. Address the underlying cause of your dis-ease on the physical level, which is body system imbalances.
5. Stop neglecting your souls needs (right relationships, community, pleasure, adventure, growth, purpose, contribution etc.)
6. Stop forcing yourself to live in alignment with the dictates of society and start marching to the tune of your own drum.
7. Start exploring the metaphysical cause of your dis-ease.
8. Heal your wounds and past trauma while forgiving yourself and others.
9. You would make plans for the future assuming you are healed.
As you demonstrate both faith and trust, by doing the aforementioned, each result you create for yourself, whether small or large will reinforce your confidence that your efforts are not in vain.
Thereby you are building your capacity to have more faith and trust in your inherent healing capabilities. Some beliefs can change on a dime, and some need reeducation and reinforcement through repetition and reflection.
Do whatever it takes to continually reinforce your faith and belief in your healing capacities. You do this by expanding your mental paradigm …..until you almost don’t recognize yourself or the world as the way you thought it was anymore.
You have to become someone else who doesn’t resonate with your dis-ease of the past.
You build and reinforce this new paradigm by borrowing the beliefs, thoughts and feelings of other people who currently have a higher level of consciousness. Immerse yourself in their consciousness, until you have embodied it in your heart for yourself.
Be diligent and read, watch videos, listen to podcasts, go to seminars etc. and otherwise surround yourself with people who also believe in your capacity to heal (Energy Healers, Body Workers, Homeopathic Doctors, Holistic Nutritionists, Naturopaths, Ayurvedic practitioners, Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, Functional Medicine Doctors etc.)
Words are medicine, so make sure you do not work with doctors or practitioners that give life to fear in you.
Basically you must turn the volume way, way, way down on anyone or anything that gives power to ‘disease labels’ and wants you to identify with them, or people who make you believe that you are a machine with parts that don’t talk to each-other, or ones who think of you as victim of disease and want to ‘treat’ you by suppressing your symptoms or cutting out your body parts (unless it’s truly an emergency situation that might warrant it).
Instead, turn the volume up on and put your focus towards anyone or anything that sees you as a whole person, with holistic needs, who has the power to heal yourself. Reach toward people and practitioners who believe that you are perfectly capable of taking your health into your own hands and heal at the level of root cause - by addressing the roots on all levels - body, mind & soul.
Basically if you want to heal, you have to be willing to become a higher version of yourself, than you have ever been before.
You must completely change both your inner world and outer world to reflect your growing level of health consciousness.
Nothing will change until you do.
Your health is your responsibility, but healing is the domain of an invisible force within you. It’s a gift from the creator and it is your birthright.
With one caveat. Your healing is co-created with the creator.
You must step forward and meet the creator halfway by demonstrating your faith, through trust which is proven by action.
You take a step towards it, it provides the ‘means’ and the ‘way’.
Sometimes that’s as simple as taking as much as one single action towards higher health and then getting out of the way, (by practicing patience), until the next step reveals itself.
Where you focus your attention is everything.
If you have the volume turned up on fear based thinking, victim mentalities, if you give more power to disease names and states, than you do to your own internal power, then it will feel next to impossible to exercise your power and heal yourself.
In the aforementioned state of being, it will be much more difficult to hear the creator’s whispers about which direction to move next, or too see the doors to healing that the creator has already opened for you.
If you are still reading this, this just might be your sign. Maybe this post and the message in it, is the next door the creator has opened for you.
