The Dis-ease is The Soul Cure

What if you do not “have” a disease, but you are in a “state of” dis-ease?
What if “the disease” is just trying to get your attention to speak to you, to save you from continuing to live a life that is killing your soul?
If your “disease” was here to save you, what state of dis-ease would it be saving you from?
What if true healing required you to identify your soul needs and provide for them?
And what if that meant you had to make choices, decisions and actions independent of “the good opinion of others”? Would you still heal yourself?
If you would, then where are you not being fully expressed in your life?
What is your soul longing for, that if you gave into it would make your life unrecognizable?
That “thing/s” is the next level version of you that is inhospitable to this dis-ease.
And what if your healing required radical truth telling - to yourself and to others?
What if your path of highest health required you to have to face disappointment/judgement by your partner, children, extended family, community or team at work?
Would you do the “thing/s” you needed to, to save yourself from a life settled for and dictated by the expectations of others.
Most people are more afraid of humiliation than they are of death. They won’t save their own lives, under the weight of perceived disapproval …that is until they see the absurdity of it!
There is soooooo much more to healing, than just diet and lifestyle! Your soul has needs to!!!
Is your soul starving?
Although a nourishing diet and a natural lifestyle are pillars of health and healing, they are only two legs under the table on which health stands.
The other two legs are relationship and purpose.
While doing everything “natural” that you can in the physical dimension is an essential aspect of meeting our body’s inherent physical needs as a human mammal, yes….but, just attending to that side of things is not actually a holistic approach to health.
If health was an equation, it might be something like self loving choices, decisions and actions in: body (diet & lifestyle) + mind (belief/expectation) + emotion (feeling/relationship) soul (purpose/passion) = health
Due to the way we have been programmed to perceive reality, most people make health all about the physical world, others make it all about the spiritual world and neglect their bodies…….which is why it is important to find the balance and recognize that our physicality is a sacred thing too.
We all have our tendencies to lean on a couple of legs more than the others - and sometimes we even completely dismiss or ignore the other legs.
I remember when I first learned about the biochemistry of nutrition, I thought health was simply about eliminating toxins and optimizing nutrients so that cells, tissues and organs could function properly. I believed if you had all the right building blocks in place (nutrients) with an absence of obstacles (toxins), that health was guaranteed. I didn’t believe that the mind or emotions, or a lack of purpose or passion or poor relationships had anything to do with health (at all). Back then in my early twenties, the interconnections between body systems, food quality and the natural ecology is where the concept of ‘holistic’ ended for me.
Now in my late forties, the wisdom of life experience has taught me that that there is a lot more to our health than just the physicality of things.
Today I give equal importance to the physical and metaphysical, although I may attend to them in different orders of priority, depending on the circumstance.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to our decisions, choices and actions and their net effect on our life force energy.
In certain circumstances, choosing a natural remedy is not actually going to have the best effect on our life force energy. Sometimes that is because of the circumstance and sometimes that is because of our subconscious programming.
Knowing ourselves and recognizing where we are actually at with our beliefs, and understanding what is needed in THIS unique moment in time, is as essential as wisdom is to knowledge.
Decisions, choices and actions must be taken in the context of our uniqueness, in light of our current situation and our personal circumstances.
If you are looking to take your health to the next level or you need a breakthrough on your healing journey, ask yourself “which part of the equation do I tend to lean on and which do I most often neglect”?
Make today the day that you stop neglecting THOSE aspects of your being, and start nourishing them.
Nourishing your self - body, mind, heart and soul - in the vibration (feeling) of self love above all else - is where the real road to healing begins.
